The mission of the PTA is 3-fold:
  1. to support and speak on behalf of children and youth, in the community, and to governmental bodies and other organizations;
  2. to assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;
  3. and to encourage parent and public involvement in the schools.
Many of the programs which make Fairview School so special depend upon the support of the PTA. Even in a community such as ours, the schools need more funds and more people power to maintain - let alone expand - the programs that we all expect to be provided for our children. Because we would like to continue support for our current programs and to fund initiatives for innovative change at Fairview, we need your support.

Please consider this an invitation to become a member of Fairview PTA.

W i l d W a t c h

The Fairview Wildwatch Project began in the Summer of 1994. The purpose of the project has been and continues to be the utilization of the natural and manmade resources of the school campus to integrate learning experiences across the curriculum with an emphasis on environmental education. The Wildwatch area is in continuous use by Fairview's pre-K through eighth grade students who are involved in authentic hands-on activities. ( Published info on Wildwatch )

4th Grade Worm Housing. This is a brush pile -
the home of Mr. Hiss, our resident black snake.
Amphitheater where we sit, watch and write about nature. We watch all sorts of critters around the pond.
We hide behind the blind and watch birds eat seeds and fruit from plants we planted.
We put food in the middle of the sand and return the next day
to see what type of animal tracks are in the sand.

We have more pictures coming in the future.
